Retreats

Somatic work within meditation and non-duality retreats — a way for spiritual insight to land in the body.

As we look deeper into the mystery of life, the body may at first seem empty, almost like a shadow. Yet from recognising that emptiness, it reveals itself again — in even greater detail, richness and beauty.

For several years I have been teaching somatic work within meditation and non-duality retreats, alongside different teachers.

Non-duality is about recognising what we really are. The body does not become superfluous in this — often it is precisely where this recognition shows itself. It cannot jump ahead or travel back; it is always already here, and helps the mind to be here too.

At the same time, deep insight can set a lot in motion: energy that is released, old patterns of holding that loosen, feelings that were held for a long time. The nervous system often needs time to catch up with what has been seen. This is where somatic work comes in. We move, breathe, sound and sense — not to achieve anything, but to give room to what is already there.

So between the sittings and dialogues, a space opens in which emptiness and aliveness don’t exclude each other. Insight is not only understood but embodied — and is easier to carry into everyday life.

On retreat we work with release, free movement and dance, grounding and plenty of floor work, deep relaxation, stretching and shaking — and with movements that meet the patterns of the psyche directly.

Voices

Angelo DiLullo, MD · UK Retreat 2026
  • “A great touch of lightness, laughter and embodiment. Lina was so easy-going and just lovely.”
  • “This was a really fun and surprising event to participate in during a silent retreat. It loosened up my body, allowed the self-consciousness of engaging in a room with others to evaporate, and took movement to a useful end. I was glad of it.”
  • “I loved this! Truly. Such a wonderful gift. Moving the body… listening to the rhythm… so alive. So fresh. Thank you Lina, again. Hope to do it again!”
  • “Masterclass. Why not more?!”
  • “I didn’t want to do it on the night — went in and wanted to walk back out. But then, she was great, I loved it. A great tonic and energy mover.”
  • “So fun, so great! Again so much heart opening, and a chance to move as well.”
  • “The dance surprised me a lot and was very enjoyable, with a big emotional release at the end. I was fascinated how I could move my body intuitively, even with eyes closed, without colliding with the other bodies around me.”
  • “I wish dance could be offered every night. Lina was lovely.”
  • “Lovely vibe — great to bring in intuitive movement, playfulness, joy and different sides of ourselves that don’t usually come out so much at a serious spiritual retreat.”
  • “I needed that. I have a very hard time dancing. I loved letting my body flow in movement, and Lina just made it so easy with her guidance. I enjoyed myself immensely.”
