Art and Collaborations

How spiritual experience can be articulated through performative structures — and how contemporary rituals enable collective sensing, thinking and transformation.

University of Art Linz

Since 2025 I teach “Somatics and Performance” at the University of Art Linz, within the course Plastik and Environment. Over four modules in one academic year, students move from individual somatic experience to working as an ensemble in space and in the environment. We follow the body systems — water and the nervous system, bones, muscles — through experiential anatomy, Body-Mind Centering, Authentic Movement, improvisation scores such as Swarm, Deep Listening, voice, writing and touch. Listening, receiving and giving an impulse are practised together, in the studio and outdoors by the river, and grow into shared performance scores.

Waves of Becoming

A multimedia research project between somatic work, choreography and video art, accompanied by a short film premiering in autumn 2026. Against a backdrop of increasing isolation and capitalist modes of thinking, it approaches collective ritual as a shared space for care and intimacy beyond private relationships. Improvisational practices soften the boundaries of individuality and let experiences of selflessness surface through collective movement. Water runs through the work as a central image — transformation, vitality, unity.

Project by Lina Krüger. Performers: Borys Słowikowski, Ika Mokovska, Manuel Lindner, Mathilde Mensink. Video and photos: Finnja Willner.

Als Nonne und als Verletzter

My solo debut, first shown at Ballhaus Ost in 2017: a hybrid of concert, diary-like recitation, poems by Western mystics and video installation. From a feminist perspective it asks what it means to cultivate a spiritual life within postmodern civilization: how necessary is solitude for change, how contemporary is this longing, and how fulfilling can it be today? Part 2 is a labyrinthine miniature between concert, installation and performance, where contemplative perceptions of nature meet cyborg aesthetics.

Outside eye: Anja Kerschkewicz / Jonas Grawert. Costume: Louisa Krüger. Part 2 sound: Bridget Ferrill.
